1. Your photos never leave your device
The ImageDo desktop app processes your photo library, including face recognition, entirely on your own computer. The app does not upload your photos, face data, or library metadata to our servers. This policy therefore only concerns data collected via this website.
2. What we collect and why
License purchases
When you buy a license we process your email address, license key, payment status, and Mollie payment reference. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep this data for as long as your license is valid, and payment records for 7 years as required by Dutch tax law.
Payment processing
Payments are handled by Mollie B.V. (Amsterdam, Netherlands). Mollie processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. We never see your card or bank details.
Contact form
When you contact us we process your name, email address, and message so we can reply. Legal basis: legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep correspondence for up to 2 years.
License recovery
When you request key recovery we use your email address to look up and resend your license access link. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
Analytics (only with your consent)
With your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) we use self-hosted Matomo analytics to understand how the website is used (pages visited, referrer, browser type, approximate location). Analytics runs on our own infrastructure; no data is shared with advertising networks. You can decline or withdraw consent at any time via the cookie banner, and the site works fully without it.
Server logs
Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent) for security and troubleshooting. Legal basis: legitimate interest. Logs are rotated after 14 days.
3. Cookies
We use one functional item in your browser's local storage to remember your cookie choice. Matomo analytics cookies are only set after you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. We use no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
4. Who receives your data
We share data only with processors needed to run the service: Mollie B.V. (payments), our hosting provider Contabo, Germany. We do not sell personal data or transfer it outside the EEA unless the processor provides appropriate safeguards under Chapter V GDPR.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at info@imagedo.app. We respond within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. In the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
6. Security
The website is served over HTTPS, license keys are cryptographically signed, and access to production data is restricted. Despite our measures, no system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will notify you and the supervisory authority as required by law.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by an updated "last updated" date above.
